I was born in Denison, Texas on December 6th, 1982, though I couldn't tell you what time because I can't
remember back that far. I'm hispanic and this means I'm usually the butt of a joke, even though I'm the
person telling it 95% of the time. I am serious when I need to be and try to be funny whenever I can...
try is the keyword there. I'm a perfectionist to the point that it annoys me and I hate the fact
that I am way too nice, even when I shouldn't be.
Barely 17 years old, I graduated from Denison High School in 2000 and attended Grayson County College until I
decided that it was time to make the jump to a University. I transferred to the University of North Texas in
2002 and almost immediately realized that UNT wasn't for me. In 2003, I transferred to Texas Tech University
in Lubbock and decided to major in Spanish and minor in Economics. I graduated in May 2006 with a Bachelor of
Arts in Spanish.
I have designed and developed several personal websites, but much of my experience comes from my current
employer. My career started back in 2000 when I was contracted to build a website which would be integrated
with paypal to sell... of all things... soap. After that, I ventured out with some friends and built three
websites that did quite well for the time they were up and running. We recently pulled the sites offline
due to the lack of time available to administrate them. By 2002, I had developed enough to have an exceptional
understanding of HTML and decided to learn PHP and MySQL.
After graduation, I was lucky enough to land a job at
DSBWorldWide, Inc.
and have been working there since June 2006. My time there has taught me much of what I know now and is the
reason I love learning about the next big thing to hit the web. I'm very serious when it comes to web standards
and avoid deviating far unless I absolutely have to (for example, this site is completely tableless). I believe myself to be one of the most fluent CSS
developers in the area which is a direct result of wanting to be the best at what I do. For a complete list of
what I can do, please check out my
resume.
